May 31st 4:00 p.m. Book Discussion on Richard Wagamese’s Starlight.
You are invited to attend the TRC Bobcaygeon’s next book discussion. We pick a fictional work by an Indigenous author (because we love the engaging power of story-telling) and have a lively and enlightening discussion. This time we have chosen Starlight by Richard Wagamese. Anything by Richard Wagamese is worth reading in my humble opinion and this one is no different.
From the publisher: “The final novel from Richard Wagamese, the bestselling and beloved author of Indian Horse and Medicine Walk, centres on an abused woman on the run who finds refuge on a farm owned by an Indigenous man [Frank Starlight] with wounds of his own. A profoundly moving novel about the redemptive power of love, mercy, and compassion–and the land’s ability to heal us.”
It is not too late to read the book and participate. Previously advertised as an in-person event, this will now be conducted via zoom. Please register at TRCBobcaygeon@gmail.com to be sent the link to join this event.
See you there.
