May 5th is Day of Remembrance for MMIWG2S. Curve Lake First Nation in Michi Saagiiig territory (in Ontario) is running a Red Ribbon Campaign to honour CLFN community member Cileana Taylor-ban who died recently as a result of violence from someone she knew. Her death, especially at such a young age, was a terrible loss for everyone.
The campaign suggests wearing red on May 5th, tying red ribbons where you can and to post pictures to the CLFN Facebook group. You can see the poster if you scroll down on their page
https://www.facebook.com/ curvelakefirstnation As well as seeing it here below.
Please consider printing the poster and putting it up with a red ribbon or a red ribbon alone. Then posting a photo on CLFN Facebook page to let them know you are paying attention to this horrible injustice that is in evidence all across the land.
