The artists and collectors who are loaning artwork are sending in information for labels, bios for the artists and stories that accompany the art. This part of setting up a show may seem, like all logistical aspects of a project, to be necessary but perhaps a tad tedious.

This is not the case with this show. While the art speaks for itself in so many ways, the story behind the work is rich and intriguing in its own right. It has been exciting to learn who influenced these artists, the depth of cultural knowledge woven into many of the pieces and to experience the inspiration these works provide for others.

The celebration will be amplified when Chief Knott addresses us at the Opening on September the 8th. He has a depth of experience in leadership roles as a member of the Curve Lake First Nation Community. He is a few weeks into his new appointment as Chief and we are lucky to hear his vision for his community.

See our poster below for more details. We sincerely hope that you can join us for the Show as well as the Opening.
